RIP Yuki

About two weeks ago we got a call from our pet sitter Ronnie that Yuki was not doing so well. We knew she was having kidney issues, and she was already getting fluids every few days. But when Ronnie and our Guardian Angel friend Susan M took her to the vet, she said that her kidneys were full of growths. The vet suggested that a steroid shot might help so we went ahead with that. And Susan M, Susan C, Ronnie and Ellen stepped up and began giving her fluids every day. She seemed to rally and we were hoping to get home before it was time for her to go.

But we got a phone call this morning that she had stopped eating, was not getting up, and was shaky on her feet when she was put next to her food. We decided it was time for us to let her go to the Rainbow Bridge.

We were very lucky that Ronnie, Susan M, and Susan C were able to take her to the vet and that we were able to FaceTime with Yuki during the process.

She was a wonderful, friendly kitty – saying hello to everyone who visited, sitting on laps and laying on the newspaper, when we got one. And when we went digital, she would lay in my arms as I was reading on my computer. We will miss her deeply, especially when we arrive home and she isn’t there to greet us at the door.

RIP, Yuki

I am so sorry to hear this. It is not easy to lose a loved pet- very much a family member. What a sweet disposition she had.

I am so sorry Anne and Trish. These furry family members are so much a part of our world, it breaks our hearts when we need to let them go.
